ADHD Coaching: Transforming Lives with Support and Strategies

ADHD Coaching: Practical Skills for a Calmer Life

From Overwhelmed to Empowered

Living with ADHD often feels like trying to run a marathon in a storm. Whether it's the constant struggle to stay organized, the "emotional storms," or the frustration of unfinished tasks, you don't have to navigate this journey alone.

At the ADHD Naturopathic Clinic, our coaching isn't just about "trying harder"—it's about understanding your brain and building the specific skills you need to thrive.

What is ADHD Coaching?

Unlike traditional therapy which focuses on the past, ADHD Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. We partner with you to build sustainable routines and bridge the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

The Clinical Edge: What makes our coaching unique is the integration of Functional Medicine. We don't just look at your schedule; we look at your biology. We ensure your brain has the right nutritional and herbal support so that the coaching strategies actually "stick."

Who We Support

  • For Adults: Reclaim your time. We help you master executive functions, manage work-life balance, and reduce the "ADHD Tax" of lost items and missed deadlines.
  • For Parents: Stop the "Homework Wars." We provide parent coaching to help you create a supportive home environment that fosters your child’s independence.
  • For Teens: Build confidence. We equip teenagers with the tools to manage social dynamics, academic pressure, and self-regulation.

How Coaching Transforms Your Daily Life

  • Executive Function Skills: Mastering time management, prioritization, and organization.
  • Emotional Regulation: Practical tools to handle frustration, impulsivity, and "meltdown" moments.
  • Routine Architecture: Designing a day that works with your neurodivergent brain, not against it.
  • Holistic Alignment: Addressing how sleep, gut health, and diet are impacting your ability to stay focused.

What to Expect

  • Initial Strategy Session: We deep-dive into your challenges and determine if you need coaching, functional testing, or a combined approach.
  • Weekly/Bi-Weekly Sessions: One-on-one sessions (In-person in Perth or Online) focused on high-impact, practical tools.
  • Actionable Toolkits: You’ll receive worksheets, habit-trackers, and "between-session" steps to ensure progress continues all week long.

Ready to Trade Chaos for Calm?

Stop waiting for things to "just get easier." Take the first step toward an organized, empowered life today.

Which Path is Right for You?

ADHD Coaching at our clinic is integrated into our structured clinical programs. This ensures that while you are learning new skills, we are also supporting your brain chemistry through functional medicine.

For Families: The Junior Blueprint

If you are seeking support for your child, coaching begins within the Junior Blueprint Program. We work through a step-by-step process of stabilizing gut health and nutrition first, followed by integrated coaching sessions each week to build routines, independence, and emotional calm at home.

For Adults: Comprehensive Genome Program

For adults looking to master their focus and career performance, coaching is included in our Comprehensive Genome Program. We use your DNA results to build a "User Manual" for your brain, then use our coaching sessions to implement high-level executive function strategies that match your biology.

Q: How does being a Naturopath help with the coaching?

A: Most coaches only look at your behaviour. Because I am a Naturopath, I look at your capacity. If your brain is "foggy" due to poor gut health or mineral deficiencies, even the best coaching tools won't work. I ensure your body is biologically ready to learn and implement new skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)?

HTMA is a highly reliable, standardized functional test when processed by an accredited pathology laboratory. While blood tests measure nutrients circulating in your bloodstream at a single moment, hair tissue provides a stable, 3- to 4-month average of cellular mineral storage and heavy metal accumulation. Research shows that hair tissue is an exceptional medium
for monitoring long-term mineral balances, metabolic patterns, and environmental toxic load.

Can I do an HTMA test if my hair is coloured or dyed?

Yes, you can still complete an HTMA test if you dye your hair, but a few guidelines ensure accurate results:

  • Untreated Hair is Ideal: The best sample is taken from new growth at the nape of the neck (the first 3–4 cm closest to he scalp).
  • Wait Between Treatments: We recommend waiting 6 to 8 weeks (or roughly 6–8 washings) after bleach, dye, or a perm before collecting your sample.
  • Alternative Sample Options: If your head hair is heavily bleached or chemically treated from root to tip, we can easily utilize untreated beard hair or pubic hair as an accurate alternative.

How much hair is required for the sample, and will itleave a noticeable spot?

We only need about 125 milligrams of hair, which is roughly equivalent to a heaped teaspoon. Samples are taken in tiny, thin snips from multiple discreet locations near the base of the skull at the nape of the neck. Because the cuts are small and hidden under your top layers of hair, it is completely undetectable once your hair is down.

Is HTMA testing suitable for young children or sensory-sensitive individuals?

Absolutely—HTMA is one of the most gentle, non-invasive functional tests available. Because there are no needles, blood draws, or fasting required, it is ideal for toddlers, young children, and sensory-sensitive clients.

If you visit our Kingsley, WA clinic, we can handle the sample collection quickly and gently for you. Alternatively, if you are a Telehealth client or prefer to collect the sample at home, we will send you an email with clear, step-by-step instructions.

What is the difference between a blood test and a hair mineral test?

Blood serum is tightly regulated by the body to maintain homeostatic balance (for example, keeping blood calcium levels stable to protect heart function). If tissue mineral levels drop, the body will pull calcium from bones and tissue into the blood to compensate—making blood work
appear "normal" even during cellular depletion. HTMA measures the minerals actually stored in your cells and tissues over time, revealing chronic imbalances that standard blood tests frequently miss.

How long does it take to get my HTMA results back?

Once your sample arrives at our laboratory, analysis typically takes 2 to 3 weeks. As soon as your comprehensive report is ready, our Perth clinic team will reach out to schedule your Test Review Consultation (available in-clinic in Kingsley or via Telehealth Australia-wide) to walk you through your findings and protocol step-by-step.
